A Siskiyou County father has been arrested for the murder of his son, according to the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office. Monday night, deputies were called to the 1000 block of Barkhouse Creek Road in the small community of Klamath River after receiving a 911 call from a man who was involved in a shooting. Once on scene, deputies found the body of 40-year-old Henry Lee Mortensen, who was the victim of a gunshot wound. Detectives with the major crimes unit were called and they interviewed Mortensen’s 76-year-old father. Stanley Mortensen was arrested and charged with his sons murder. He was booked into the Siskiyou County Jail. A forensic autopsy is planned for later this week.
