A man was found dead in the water near Lakehead Tuesday afternoon. At about 5 after 5 a fisherman spotted the man floating near the northern end of the Sacramento Arm of Lake Shasta. He called the sheriff’s office, who responded and found a small boat partially submerged nearby. The dead man appeared to be around 60-years-old and was wearing a life vest. The Shasta County Coroner’s Office will try to determine cause of death and notify next of kin.
