CalTrans is about to start building a new overpass between Palo Cedro and Redding, and they’ll hold a workshop Thursday evening to answer questions and concerns anyone may have. A few years of planning has gone into the project, which will be on Highway 44 at Stillwater Drive. The lead contractor is Redding-based Tullis Inc., and they’re set to begin construction in May. Engineers, designers and managers will be available to speak with one-on-one at the open house Thursday evening from 5 to 7. It’ll be at the CalTrans building at 1031 Butte Street just down the hill from Shasta Regional Medical Center.
