An early season vegetation fire broke out between Shingletown and Manton Tuesday afternoon. Cal-Fire is calling it the “Rock Fire”. It’s burning off of Rock Creek Road near the Shasta/Tehama County line in thick brush on rugged terrain. The fire was 11 acres and 75% contained as of Wednesday morning.
