A 60-year-old man has been given a prison sentence for a pursuit by a game warden. The warden tried to pull over Barney Davis Canty in early December for trespassing and speeding in Tehama County, but Canty went to great lengths to try and avoid the traffic stop. He increased his speed, drove through an orchard, ignored multiple stop signs, drove on the wrong side of the road, and still continued to drive even after all four tires had been flattened by a spike strip. Canty has been sentenced to four years in state prison.
