Man Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing Father

A Shingletown man is accused of stabbing his father in the head. Just after 11 O’clock Friday morning a woman called 9-1-1 from a home off of Highway 44 in Shingletown. Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and contacted the woman, who said her husband, 63-year-old Bryan Lamb Selving, had been stabbed by their son, 22-year-old Andrew Lamb Selving. Deputies surrounded the home and Andrew was taken into custody without a fight. He’s been booked into jail for attempted murder. His father is hospitalized in stable condition. A motive has not been identified.
