Whole Earth And Watershed Festival Is Saturday

The Whole Earth and Watershed Festival at Redding City Hall and Sculpture Park is in its 12th year, and the free event keeps getting bigger. More than 170 exhibitor booths will be promoting active lifestyles, gardening, health, sustainability, conservation, renewable energy and alternative transportation. Redding Electric Utility and Redding Police will give away free LED light bulbs, Redding Parks and Recreation will give away coupons for free shade trees and Redding Fire will give away smoke detectors. A series of educational talks will take place in the community room. There will also be live music all day and lots of good food. The electricity for the music stage will be generated by teams of stationary bicyclists. Visitors can ride their bicycles and leave them in the guarded bike corral, or take the free RABA shuttle from the downtown terminal. It’s all Saturday from 11AM to 5PM and admission is free.
