A Dunsmuir murder suspect has been captured by Siskiyou County Sheriff’s investigators. At 2:30PM Saturday afternoon the suspect’s mother called 9-1-1 from a home on Dunsmuir Avenue in Dunsmuir. She said she feared for her safety because of something her son had done. When a Siskiyou County Deputy got there, the suspected killer was gone. Another resident of the home, 66-year-old Kenneth Ray Jones, was found dead in his room. He had apparently been murdered, and his Chevy Astro Van was missing. The van was found Saturday night by Yreka Police. 43-year-old Mike Hernandez the Third was taken into custody Monday morning in the Yreka area southeast of Greenhorn Park.
