Man Convicted Of Arson Sentenced To State Prison

The Redding Fire Department’s freshman fire investigator already has an arson conviction under his belt. In the last week of February Justin Hendrix lit a dumpster fire behind U-Prep High School on Eureka Way, apparently just for the thrill of it. Redding Fire Prevention Officer Jeremy Stoke got on the case quickly, retrieving surveillance video from U-Prep and recruiting help from Redding Police. Stoke arrested Hendrix on March 1st, and he’s been convicted of arson and sentenced to 16 months in state prison.
