The Shasta County Coroner’s Office has identified a dead man who was found in Whiskeytown Lake last weekend. At around 9 O’clock Sunday morning somebody discovered the body of 22-year-old Malachi Daniel Freedom Ennis of Trinidad. He was in the water at the Peltier Bridge Campground, and he was declared dead at the scene. His family has been notified and a post-mortem exam was done. The circumstances of the death are still under investigation.
