Officers Follow Trail Of Blood After Stabbing, No Arrests Have Been Made

Redding Police followed a trail of blood early Friday morning as they investigated a stabbing. At 4:30AM officers were sent to the area of Eureka Way and Court Street. 39-year-old Abraham Womack told officers he had been stabbed but he didn’t know the man’s name or where he had been. Womack was transported to Mercy Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, officers followed the blood trail to a home on Rose Avenue, where they talked to 53-year-old Brian Lantz. He reportedly said that Womack had been there and was asked to leave. Lantz claimed not to know anything about the stabbing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Redding Police.
