The Redding Planning Commission will take another look at a proposal for a 24-hour convenience store in East Redding. The plan is for an AM/PM gas station, convenience store and car wash at Shasta View Drive and Goodwater Avenue. There’s already a Chevron with a convenience store and car wash just across the highway from there. Public hearings were held in March and April, but the item was continued so staff could investigate the many public comments that were submitted, and they’ve modified their conditions of approval as a result. The project would require the installation of a stoplight at that intersection. The planning commission meeting is Tuesday at 4 O’clock in the city council chambers.
