Lighting Sparks Several Small Fires

Lightning has been touching the mountainous areas of Northern California, igniting several fires. There are three in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, but they only total less than an acre. One is near Dubekella Mountain, another is southeast of O’Brien Mountain and the other one is contained southeast of McCloud Bridge. Another fire in Siskiyou County is being fought by Cal-Fire crews. It’s burning west of Rancho Hills and Lake Shastina and north of Weed. At last word it was 50 acres with 10% containment. Meanwhile the Grape Fire north of Hayfork, believed to be an escaped prescribed burn, is 244 acres and 60% contained.
