40 passengers on a Skywest commuter jet were evacuated at Redding Municipal Airport when the plane’s cabin began to fill with smoke. The incident happened shortly before 8 O’clock Tuesday night. Redding Firefighters determined that there was no fire. The problem is believed to have originated in the air conditioning system. Most of the passengers were able to catch another flight to San Francisco a few hours later.
