A Cottonwood man on probation for an attempted sex offense is going to prison for violating that probation. Earlier this year, 28-year-old Dolin Patrick Jackman took the bait on the Tehama County District Attorney’s Office underage sex sting. For several years, investigators have posted ads on Craigslist and other websites posing as an underage girl seeking sex with older men. Jackman responded to the ad and exchanged a number of text messages with what he thought was a 15-year-old girl. When he went to meet her in February, he learned she didn’t exist and he was arrested for meeting a minor for lewd purposes. Jackman was given probation for the offense. On April 16th Jackman was driving southbound on Interstate Five near Red Bluff when he was pulled over and his vehicle was searched. He was in possession of pornographic images of pre-pubescent children. The new felony offense is also a felony violation of his probation, earning Jackman a four year sentence in state prison.
