Woman At Walk Up ATM Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle

A woman was killed by an errant driver at a bank Friday morning in the City of Shasta Lake. Deputies were called at 11:15AM to the Tri-Counties Bank on Shasta Dam Boulevard. 58-year-old Deborah Beaupre was pulling into a parking space when she apparently hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Her car jumped the curb and ran over a pedestrian before striking the walk-up ATM. The pedestrian was transported to Mercy Medical Center, where she later died of her injuries. The victim’s name will be released after family is notified. The sheriff’s office says Beaupre was not under the influence of anything. The CHP is assisting with the investigation. Any witnesses are asked to call 245-6540.
