Mail Truck Burns Up Outside Of Anderson

A mail truck burned up in Happy Valley Monday. Firefighters were dispatched at around 10:38AM Monday morning to Olinda Road near the All Auto and Truck wrecking yard. It apparently began as a mechanical-related vehicle fire in the postal service truck. The letter carrier escaped injury, but the truck and its load of mail completely burned up, according to Cal-Fire. The flames spread to surrounding vegetation, but Happy Valley firefighters held it to less than an acre.
