Redding Fire Department has had a busy few days, and last night they were split between two simultaneous incidents. Just before 6 O’clock crews were called to a small engine repair shop on Veda Street off South Market. At the same time, a vegetation fire broke out near the Bluffs at the end of Palisades Avenue. Both fires were quickly contained and are under investigation. The Palisades fire burned about 2 acres. Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in that area should call 225-4141.
