Transient Sought After Shooting In South Redding

A homeless man is being sought for allegedly shooting a man in South Redding Monday night. Redding Police Officers and medical personnel arrived at a home on Harrison Avenue to find 36-year-old Christopher Eugene Clark suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen. He was rushed to Mercy Medical Center for surgery to treat his life-threatening wounds. Witnesses identified the shooter as 22-year-old Anthony Warren Chambers. The former Concord resident is now a transient in Redding who sometimes goes by the name James Chapman or Anthony Chapman. He was already wanted by Anderson Police reportedly fleeing from them and discarding a gun along the way.
