There’s good news out of the Trinity Alps about an Oregon man who had been missing. 64-year-old David Ura of Central Point was dropped off by his daughter on June 15th at the Ides Cove Trailhead west of Red Bluff as he embarked on a 70 mile trek on the Bigfoot Trail accompanied only by his dog. He intended to arrive in Hayfork 5 days later but he didn’t show up. Multiple agencies and volunteers have been searching for Ura. He was finally found alive and in good shape by his family in the Cold Springs Area of Tehama County in the Mendocino National Forest, quite a bit south of where he intended to be. His dog was still with him as well.
