A large barbecue that’s done annually prior to the Anderson Explodes fireworks show is on again after being canceled late last week. Each year, a number of people purchase animals at the Shasta District Fair Junior Livestock Auction and donate them back to the 4-H and F.F.A. The meat is then cooked up at the fairgrounds on the 3rd of July before the fireworks show, and all the money goes back to the 4-H and F.F.A. The event was up in the air as the fairgrounds is serving as base camp for some of the area fires. Those operations will be moved though, to make room for the annual BBQ and the Anderson Explodes fireworks display Wednesday night.
