Deputies Seek 3rd Suspect After Shooting Near Oak Run

Shasta County Sheriffs Deputies are searching for a third suspect after an armed robbery in Oak Run. Friday evening deputies were called to the 15000 block of Stage Coach Road after receiving a call of shots fired. Initially no suspects were found, but the deputies found signs of a marijuana grow. As the deputies were investigating they learned that 4 victims were involved. The 4 victims had left the area and were found a short time later uninjured. The 4 men had went to the location to retrieve an RV that belonged to one of the them. They found that some property was stolen from the RV and they found the property at a nearby residence. During that time 3 men approached them and an argument ensued. During the argument 40-year-old Christopher Bullington got into his RV and started to drive away. 35-year-old Donaven Hayden, 36-year-old Zachary Lane and 27-year-old Robert Combs got into two separate vehicles and also drove off. One of the suspects apparently opened fire with a handgun as they were leaving, and one of the bullets struck the RV near the drivers side door. The three men got into a vehicle and began chasing the victims. The sheriff’s office says that driver of the suspect vehicle rammed one of the victims vehicles and drove around them and forced them to stop. Two of the victims were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint, while the other vehicle was able to drive away. Robert Combs and Zachary Lane were robbed at gunpoint, but were eventually able to leave on foot. Deputies hiked the area and found two men in a creek drainage near where the shooting occurred. They were identified as 28-year-old David Howard and 28-year-old Colton Romenzak.The third man was not found.He is described as a black man with dreadlocks.He might use the name Rico. Deputies located the car that Robert Combs and Zachary Lane were driving about 2 miles away unoccupied. Howard and Romenzak were both arrested.
