Driver Injured In Logging Truck Crash In Siskiyou County

Two logging trucks collided on Highway 96 Wednesday, according to the CHP. 65-year-old Michael Seal of Weed was driving an empty logging truck westbound on Highway 96 west of the Walker Road offramp when a fully loaded logging truck driven by 59-year-old Dale Powell overturned as it was traveling through a left curve. The load of logs spilled directly into the path of Seal’s truck and into the westbound lane. Multiple logs struck the front of Seal’s truck causing major damage. Seal sustained major injuries and was air flighted to Mercy Medical Center in Redding. Powell was not injured.
