Some residents who live in the Old Shasta area are being allowed to return home. Cal-Fire announced at Noon Tuesday that residents who live in Old Shasta on the north side of Highway 299 can return home. Muletown Road is not included and will remain closed at Red Buff Road. Entry access will be via Highway 299 at Buenaventura Boulevard and Rock Creek Road at Granite Road. Residents must provide proper identification to enter the area. Swasey Drive remains closed at Red Bluff Road, and Victoria Drive is closed at Highway 299.
