Shasta County will get a visit from the Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. The Department of Home Land Security oversees the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which is administering much of the federal aid promised for the area. Secretary Kirstjen will be at the fairgrounds in Anderson at the Carr Fire incident command post for a media availability at Noon Friday. She’ll be joined by California Office of Emergency Services Director Mark Ghilarducci, Cal-Fire Director Ken Pimlott and Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko.
