Driver Arrested After High Speed Chase

A high speed chase took a tour around Redding Tuesday morning. It started with an attempted traffic stop on Hartnell at Churn Creek, but the driver of the Honda Civic ran the red light and took off at 60 miles an hour up Hartnell, then went south on Alta Mesa drive, passing KQMS at high speed before winding through the neighborhood and going south on Victor. It then went up Churn Creek Road to northbound I-5, east on Highway 299, south on Old Oregon Trail all the way to Highway 44. The Honda driver then went west back into town, took the Friendly drive exit, and stopped and surrendered at the light at Dana Drive.
