A 37-year-old woman suffered severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Cypress Avenue, according to Redding Police. Police say that Danielle Davis of Redding was in the crosswalk and was walking south on Cypress avenue near Big O Tires about 10:45AM on Friday. Witnesses say that a truck in the westbound middle lane stopped to allow Davis to safely cross. 37-year-old Trista Humiston was also traveling westbound and failed to yield. Humiston’s vehicle struck Davis causing major injuries. She was taken to Mercy Medical Center and was listed in critical condition. Redding Police shut down westbound Cypress Avenue near Rosemary as they conducted an investigation.
