Water Conservation Urged To Avoid Water Shortages In Sugarloaf District

Residents living in the Sugarloaf Water District should be conserving water to avoid draining the system, according to Shasta County Public Works. The department reported Wednesday that more water is being used than the system can currently provide. In the last 2 days a storage tank has come close to empty and some homeowners are reporting not having water. Residents are urged to avoid using more water than their basic needs such as drinking and cooking. A public meeting will be held Thursday at the Lakehead Lions Club at 6:30PM to address the situation.
