Police Seek Help Locating Mentally Disabled Adult

Redding Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman with mental disabilities who walked away from her daytime work program. About 3PM Wednesday 27-year-old Carolyn Tate walked away from the Shascade Community Services building on Masonic Avenue in North Redding. Tate is 27-years-old but apparently has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old child. She was last seen wearing black jeans and a black t-shirt. Tate has both sides of her head shaved and hair dyed red. Police say Tate may have left with a 24-year-old homeless man named Steve Kirk.
