Authorities Use Fire Hose To Stop Man Attempting To Burn Down Church

A man was blasted with a fire hose when he tried to burn down a church in Los Molinos over the weekend, according to the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. At 5:15AM Saturday morning deputies were called to the Los Molinos Methodist Church on Josephine Street. They arrived to find 51-year-old Mark Boles, reportedly holding a portable torch that he was using to try and ignite a 250 gallon propane tank behind the church. Deputies ordered Boles to stop, but he refused. Firefighters had also responded to the scene and they used a high pressure firehose to physically push boles away from the propane tank. He then tried to run but was captured after struggle. He’s being held on 2 Million Dollars bail.
