The Latest: Mother, Daughter Hurt In Bay Area Plane Crash Identified

A man was killed and two women were injured when a small plane from Redding crashed near the Palo Alto Airport. A relative says the women are a mother and daughter from Redding who were being taken to a children’s hospital so the daughter could have surgery. 49-year-old Nancy Dellamaria and her daughter, 16-year-old Chloe King, remain hospitalized. Dellamaria’s sister, Nancy Paquette, said that the two were on board the single-engine plane that crashed Tuesday morning while trying to land at the Palo Alto Airport. The crash killed the pilot, a man in his 60’s. His name hasn’t been released. The plane was operated out of Redding by Angel Flight West, a nonprofit group that provides free medical transportation. The volunteer pilot was flying the mother and daughter to Palo Alto because the girl had a surgery planned at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
