At 3:06PM the sheriff’s office got a call about someone matching kKeler’s description brandishing a gun in the Churn Creek Bottom area. At 3:30PM a vehicle was stolen from a home on Rancho Vista Road, and Keeler’s car was left behind. A Redding Police Officer was en route to a burglary call on Rancho Road when he saw Keeler hanging around the Redding Electric Utility Building off Airport Road. Keeler was detained and allegedly found with property stolen from the Rancho Road home, including a gun and $20,000 worth of jewelry. The stolen car was parked and running behind the building. The victim of the gun brandishing also identified Keeler, who was booked into jail on several charges.
