No Suspect Named After 2 People Found Murdered In Shasta Lake

Two people were found murdered on Friday at a homeless camp in the City of Shasta Lake. The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit did not publicize the deaths until late Tuesday afternoon. Shasta Lake Deputies were told about the bodies at midday on Friday. The victims have been identified as 31-year-old Michael Thomas Bingham Jr. and 26-year-old Angela Lynne McConnell. They apparently were in a dating relationship and were living in a camp on undeveloped property off the north end of Black Canyon Road. Autopsies are set for this week. No arrest has been made and detectives have not said if they have identified any person of interest, but they say that there’s no indication of risk to the general public.
