Woman Arrested After High Speed Chase Ends In Red Bluff

A high speed chase has resulted in a broken leg and an arrest. Monday morning, at about 4:15AM, a CHP Officer in Siskiyou County observed a suspected DUI driver and attempted a traffic stop. The driver, 38-year-old Kassandra Wilson from Minnesota, took off southbound with other CHP units joining the chase through Shasta County at speeds up to 100 miles an hour. A spike strip was set up, but was unsuccessful in stopping the car as it continued into Tehama County. Wilson exited the freeway at the Adobe Road exit in Red Bluff, traveled down Main Street and then lost control and hit the center divider near Luther Street. A fire started in the car’s engine compartment and Wilson was taken into custody without further incident. She was taken to a hospital for a medical assessment for a broken leg before being booked on charges of evading police, DUI and driving without a license.
