A mobile home fire in Mountain Gate spread to vegetation and threatened other homes Sunday afternoon. The home and two outbuildings were destroyed in the area of Echo Hill road off Old Oregon Trail, along with about an acre of brush. Apparently, a number of honey oil canisters were found in the burned-out remnants of the home. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
