Baby Bitten

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Los Angeles police say a 2-month-old baby boy was injured by his family’s pit bull in their home.

Police Officer Greg Kraft tells the Los Angeles Times the dog bit the baby Monday afternoon in Woodland Hills.

Kraft says the dog became agitated when someone knocked on the door. The baby, who was in a car seat on the floor, began to cry.

Kraft says the dog escaped from a gated pen and bit the boy. The baby was hospitalized, and authorities say he’s expected to survive.
