Deputies Arrest 2 After Shots Fired In Siskiyou County

A Fort Jones man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. Wednesday morning, at 7:38AM, the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office got a report of a man pointing a rifle at people in the Mt. Shasta Vista subdivision. Other reports said that he’d fired the rifle at the ground and at a bystander about 20 feet away. That person was not hit. More calls came in saying the man was exchanging gunfire with people reporting the incident. When deputies arrived a few minutes later, they located the suspect and a woman with him. They took both into custody and located the rifle. 41-year-old Rick Calvin Case, of Fort Jones was arrested for numerous charges including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal conspiracy, violating terms of his probation, felon in possession of a firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition.His female companion, 35-year-old Terra Dawn Stanley of Yeka, was also arrested and charged with being an accessory to a felony crime, criminal conspiracy, and trespassing.
