Crews Working To Completely Extinguish Delta Fire

Increased smoke may be seen in the Delta Fire area as a warming trend with moderate winds will bring some smoldering stumps and downed logs to life. The fire was declared fully contained over the weekend, but a lot of work remains to be done as crews race the weather to make repairs to firelines. The Forest Service says 88 miles of roads still need to be graded after being damaged in the firefight by equipment. The total of 63,311 acres burned in the Delta Fire, most of it heavy timber, along with 20 structures.
