Shingletown area residents can discard their unwanted junk with free dump day this weekend. The community cleanup day will take place at the Shingletown Transfer Station on Ritts Mill Road from 9AM to Noon this Saturday. Among the items that will be accepted are mattresses, furniture, E-waste, scrap metal, large appliances and regular trash. Only one pickup sized load per household will be allowed. Large trailers will not be allowed and no items from businesses will be accepted. Also, batteries, liquid waste and hazardous materials are prohibited.
