A teenage boy was badly hurt in a crash between Anderson and Cottonwood Thursday night. At around 9 O’clock, the 16-year-old from Cottonwood was driving a 1995 Toyota SUV south on Rhonda Road at unknown speed when he lost control on a curve south of Lynn Hart Drive. The Toyota slid off the west side of the road and slammed into a tree. Rescue personnel had to use jaws of life to extricate the teen from the mangled vehicle before he was transported to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.
