A 21-year-old Anderson man was killed Thursday morning when he lost control of his vehicle. Brennen Emmitt Gard was reportedly driving a 2000 GMC Yukon, towing a Quad Runner on a trailer, at high speed when he lost control. The trailer struck a traffic signal, causing the vehicle to roll over several times. Gard was the sole occupant and was not wearing a seat belt. The accident happened just before 7AM. Witnesses said there was another vehicle stopped in the intersection, a light-colored pickup towing a white enclosed utility trailer. Police believe that person may be able to provide more information. Both lanes of Highway 273 between Canyon and Clear Creek Roads were closed for some time, causing major traffic delays.
