A stolen car has been located in Shasta Lake. On Sunday, the Shasta County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a submerged car at the Centimudi Boat Ramp. Boaters could see the top of the vehicle, which was in about 30 feet of water. As it was unknown if anyone might have been inside, the sheriff’s office dive team responded. They determined that it was unoccupied. After the Ford Escape was removed from the water, it was discovered that it had been stolen from the City of Shasta Lake in February of 2016.
