K-9 Helps Deputies Seize Over 3 Pounds Of Meth

A Shasta County man is charged with possession of a large stash of drugs that was reportedly sniffed out by a K-9 Thursday morning. A search warrant was served by Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force at the home of 70-year-old Wade Pershall. He was inside the home with a woman when agents arrived. Both were detained and a search was done. Thor the K-9 was used to sniff around. He alerted to a place on the floor of a detached carport. After a rug and a board were pulled up, a hole was revealed and in that hole agents and deputies allegedly found a bag containing 3.2 pounds of Methamphetamine. $6000 was found in the home, and it was presumed to be profits from the sale of drugs. Parshall was booked into jail.
