Man Sentenced To 15 Years For February Stabbing

A Los Molinos man has been sentenced for attacking his roommate with a knife. He likely would have killed her if the victim’s husband hadn’t interceded, according to the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. The incident happened around 4AM one morning in February. 37-year-old Samuel Coleman Dunn was upset about money he believed was taken from him by one of his housemates, 66-year-old Sharon Foushee. She was asleep in her bed while her husband was in the shower when Dunn barged into her room, straddled her, and said he had to kill her as he began cutting and stabbing her repeatedly with a folding pocket knife. When Foushee screamed, her husband ran in and knocked Dunn off of her and took the knife away. Dunn fled before deputies arrived. A search was launched of the Los Molinos area and Dunn was later found in a field naked. He’s been convicted of a long list of felony charges and sentenced to more than 15 years in state prison.
