The former manager of the Redding Chamber of Commerce has died. Days after reports of a rescue operation and search involving a CHP helicopter and the boating safety unit, the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office has reported that the body of 67-year-old Frank Strazzarino was found at the shoreline of the Sacramento River near Bechelli Lane. It’s unknown how he died or came to be at the bottom of the cliff. Strazzarino spent more than 20 years as head of the chamber before retiring three years ago. Due to health problems he was living at the Oakmont Assisted Living Facility which backs up to the river. He is survived by his wife Carol, son Robert, and daughter Stephanie.
