Hundreds of Amazon packages bound for the North State were delayed after a big rig filled with the holiday treasures overturned late Wednesday on Interstate Five near Orland. The CHP says the driver who originated at the Amazon Hub in Tracy was headed for Portland, but was scheduled for a stop in corning to transfer some packages to another truck. According to his statement he had 12 hours of sleep before his trip, but apparently still fell asleep and woke just before hitting an overpass. That’s when he steered hard to the right and overturned. The entire load was returned to Amazon in Tracy for redelivery later this week.
