Police Seek Clues in Cold Case

The Redding Police Department is looking for clues to solve a cold case. On July 7th, 1976, the department investigated a murder that occurred near the Clear Creek bridge on State Route 273 in Redding. The fifteen-year-old victim, Terri Lynn Ray, was found in Clear Creek with multiple stab wounds. Investigators aggressively worked the case, but over time the number of leads declined and the case went cold. The department is asking for the public’s assistance in solving this crime. A reward of up to $5000 is being offered by Shasta County Secret Witness for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case.
