Firefighters extinguished a blaze that destroyed a home between Redding and Anderson Sunday morning, but first they had to get past the angry and apparently armed homeowner. Shasta County Fire with help from other agencies responded at around 10:30 AM to Turtle Lane, off Churn Creek Road just west of Airport Road. Deputies took the man into custody after a struggle.
