A man was killed in a rollover crash next to Tierra Oaks Country Club Monday. At around 12:40 in the afternoon, 49-year-old Tatyana Bobrick was on Bear Mountain Road and came to a stop at Old Oregon Trail. A silver Ford F-150 crew cab came up behind her and the driver apparently didn’t want to wait, as he drove around her and sideswiped her car before turning left and driving away westbound on Old Oregon Trail at a high rate of speed. Witnesses say the pickup was still going very fast as it approached La Crescenta Drive and the driver lost control. The truck struck several trees and rolled before coming to rest. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Redding fire rescue personnel had to use jaws of life to extricate him from the wreckage, and he was declared dead at the scene. The identity of the man has not yet been released by Redding Police or the Coroners Office.
