Chico Mayor Randall Stone says the city is happy to help displaced Paradise residents but the generosity is coming at a cost. Budgets are getting busted, traffic accidents are up 35% because there are more people in Chico now, and home prices are skyrocketing. And….Butte County is looking at a huge property tax hit. Chico is asking the state for Six Million Dollars a year for three years to help pay for fire, police and public works services.
